Prisoner inside my head
trapped in constant thought.
Unsure of what I really want
the answers I have sought.
Bending backwards just to please
each time I lose a part of me.
Responsibilities multiply
for this am I ready?
Simpler times I yearn for
a level of sheer understanding.
A hand to help guide my way
this flight of mind needs a landing.

It's Electric

The room crackles from electric shock. With each touch comes a zap, a pop. Thunder rumbles on as we continue to roll. Lightning flashes in your eyes as you take control. Guided by candle light, the storm rages on. Rain gently taps the panes but we're too far gone. (circa 2006)
